XPI Simulation Ltd. (XPI) has recently been awarded a research contract
as part of the MOD funded Synthetic Environments Towers of Excellence –
a collaborative group of companies and academic bodies, selected to encourage
partnership in innovation and technological excellence, in the use of computer generated
realities for modelling and simulation.
XPI will be working with other defence companies on the programme,
with the prime contract for the research activity held by Qinetiq Ltd., the
largest defence research organization in Europe. The research will cover ways
of helping the MOD save money and to increase efficiency in its simulation
systems - vital for training our operational forces
