XPI Simulation Ltd. (XPI) has recently been awarded a contract
to supply software and image generator computers to the Taiwanese
simulation company AIDC, for integration into train simulators
being supplied for use by the Taipei Metro authority.
Robert Lou, President of Solo Aerospace, XPI’s Taiwanese
partner said, ”We are very pleased to work once more with
XPI Simulation. Their Fabriano image generators have an excellent
reputation with almost 200 already installed for important Taiwanese
customers”
The company will supply a number of Fabriano image generators
along with Tempest software which will be integrated in country
by AIDC specialists.
David Fulker, XPI’s Technical Director commented, ”The
Taipei metro system is unique in having potential problems such
as typhoons and earthquakes and it is important that the train
drivers react promptly. Our Tempest software running on a PC
provides excellent results, but for the most stunning graphics
quality you still need a Fabriano system. The combination makes
for fantastic scene realism to complement the beautifully designed
stations found in Taipei”
While still a young company, XPI Simulation has already exported
around the world, to continental Europe, the Far East as well
as North America.
XPI Simulation’s current contracts cover a wide range
of prestigious projects from Concorde flight simulator to intelligent
traffic behaviour for car driving. The company is employee owned
and committed to supplying what customers want: top quality,
low price, reliable equipment and excellent service..
