XPI Simulation has recently been awarded a Grant for Research
and Development from the London Development Agency. After fierce
competition for the regional award from nearly 100 high technology
companies, XPI Simulation was one of the few whose innovative
ideas have won funding. At a recent awards ceremony, Simon Skinner,
XPI’s Managing Director, was presented with an award recognizing
this achievement by Professor Heinz Wolff, Emeritus Professor
of Bioengineering at Brunel University.
XPI Simulation has been trading for just six months but in that
time has already attracted many different customers and this
award recognises the technological innovation and creativity
of its staff.
The six-figure grant will be used to produce exciting new products
to enhance the police’s ability to solve major crimes,
including armed robbery, murder, child abduction and terrorist
offences.
Skinner commented, “XPI Simulation is proud to be recognized
by the LDA as a leader in technological innovation. Our highly
qualified staff team has over 70 years collective experience
in using computer graphics and advanced software to help train
and motivate military staff, and we look forward to bringing
these skills to help front-line police crime investigators with
their demanding task and help them achieve fast and reliable
results.”
XPI Simulation’s current contracts cover a wide range
of prestigious projects from Concorde flight simulation to intelligent
traffic behaviour for car driving. The company is employee owned
and committed to supplying what customers want: top quality,
low price, reliable equipment and excellent service..
