XPI Simulation understands the ever-demanding and complex world of helicopter
simulation. Helicopter training is one of the most difficult
areas to simulate as there is a need to fly high and far but
also low down where there is a need for high scene content.
XPI Simulation is qualified to handle all simulation requirements for
rotary wing aircraft.
XPI Simulation combines high fidelity visuals and motion systems to accurately
replicate flight scenarios.
XPI Simulation’s products are able to handle the need for multiple
synchronised windows and are also able to provide support for
large-area, geo-specific databases.

XPI Simulation products
offer ultra realistic simulation of flying over terrain as well
as excellent anti-aliasing which allows for long range detail
and provides outstanding image quality for fine details of objects
such as fences, trees and wires. It is important to accurately
simulate the visual effects on the sand of the rotor downwash
as well as the visibility difficulties for the pilot such as
brown
out caused by sand and mud and white out caused by snow. XPI Simulation can also offer features such as marine effects and realistic
weather effects as well as offering enhanced sensor simulation
capabilities.
XPI Simulation works with partners to provide high quality motion systems and is capable of providing noise and sound effects to increase the realism of the simulation. XPI Simulation also understands the importance of networking helicopter sims to train collectively. Furthermore, the company also provides simulation for night vision goggles.
XPI Simulation has supplied the visuals for two helicopter simulators
to a Far Eastern customer. The contract required five fully
synchronised visual channels on each of the two systems.
XPI Simulation recently won contracts from ProActive Technologies and
L3 Communications to upgrade the visuals for the AH-64A Apache
Helicopter. XPI Simulation visuals are being used for four Cockpit
Weapons & Emergency Procedures Trainers (CWEPT) for the US Army.
The 5 channel compact rack-mounted unit has been delivered to
Fort Rucker, Alabama.
