SimView is XPI Simulation’s latest sophisticated post-video processing sensor solution, and is a welcome addition to our existing suite of visual simulation products. SimView is capable of simulating a variety of image intensifiers including NVG, thermal images such as IR and optical images like cameras. SimView has been developed to emulate the effects produced by sensor technology including

How SimView works:
To realistically simulate the images from a variety of sensors, the visual database must include additional information defining the material attributes of all objects and features in the scenario. XPI Simulation’s software, which is also fully compatible with Multigen Paradigm’s SensorPrime, then provides the runtime physics based rendering to give the sensor effects according to ambient conditions, heat sources, material reflectivity etc. SimView then applies the appropriate visual effects associated with sensor displays.
