XPI designed and installed an advanced research driving simulator for Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG), a department of Warwick University. This unique system is housed within a Faraday cage that enables experimentation using various communications networks - including GPS, 3G, LTE and Wi-Fi - to conduct research into in-car connectivity, human machine interfaces and autonomous driving systems. Provision of the system included a LIDAR scan of over 48km of surrounding roads.
